About Bristol Songwriters

The Bristol Songwriters is the home of the Bristol Songwriting Circle - a group of like-minded people looking to develop their songwriting craft and share their songs.

The Bristol Songwriting Circle has been running since November 2008. Hosted by Jason Lee Mince, it takes place once a month on a Wednesday evening. Dates vary, and are announced in advance here on the Bristol Songwriting Circle website, on the Bristol Songwriting Circle Facebook page, and also emailed to all members.

The Bristol Songwriting Circle is a supportive place to share your songs - and you are welcome to come along whether you have something new, or just want to share the ambience and enthusiasm on the night. A typical meeting will involve the sharing of members' songs/lyrics, and a workshop on the evening to create a song, and one member sharing a favourite song from another artist with the group.

The group was set up to provide a friendly and supportive community for songwriters in the Bristol and South West region. The group is open to all levels, all ages, and all musical genres. Beginners and keen amateurs are especially welcome. There is a small meeting subscription (currently £2.00) to cover venue costs.

Next Bristol Songwriting Circle meeting - Wednesday 22nd March 2017 (7.30pm) at Cafe Kino, 108 Stokes Croft, Bristol BS1 3RU.
